Cross-scene doors might be useful for adding seamless transitions between levels.
You can find an example of a cross-scene doors in the scene GameExample, where there is a door that leads the player to the Overworld.
In order to add a cross-scene door first of all you need to create Scene references. For this, go to your scene folder and use right click Create/RetroJRPG/SceneReference

Make sure the name of your reference matches the name of your scene.

We use these assets to avoid using plain text for scene names which might be repeated several times in a level and could easily break if the level name changes. We do however use plain text for door Ids, this is mostly for simplicity sake, and also because these are less likely to be repeated or changed.
Now create a cross-scene door by dropping a CrossSceneDoor prefab into your scene

For this door to work you need to provide a scene to load in the LoadScene variable (that’s the SceneReference we created) and a ExitDoorUniqueId, which is the DoorUniqueId of the other CrossSceneDoor, existing in the scene to be loaded. Please note this DoorUniqueId does not need to match the id in the ObjectUniqueId component, it could be something a bit more descriptive (Such as “HallGreenDoor”).
